Whatever type of door or cabinet opening you have, and whatever type of strip curtain you’re interested in, it’s essential you get the right measurements before making a purchase or requesting a quote.
NOTE: The measuring points are not the same for all types of openings. See our guides below to the most common types of opening and how to measure for a strip curtain to fit them.
Height (H): Measure from the underside of the door lintel / frame all the way to the ground.
Width (W) : Measure between the two inner side edges of the door frame.
Height (H): With the door open, measure from just below the door spool housing all the way to the ground.
Width (W) : Measure between the outer edges of the door guides.
Height (H) : Measure from the bottom of the door runner curve, all the way to the ground.
Width (W) : Measure from the outside edges of the door runners.
Height (H) : Measure from the top of the door guide all the way to the ground.
Width (W) : Measure between the outer edges of the left and right doors.
Note: If you don’t normally open the doors fully, a more economical solution is to have curtains covering just the open area. To do this, measure between the two inside edges of the partly opened doors – Alt Width (AW) – and give us this measurement instead of Width (W).
Opening Drop (D) : Measure from the underside of the top fascia down to the top of the base sill.
Width (W) : Measure between the two inner edges.
Opening Drop (D) : Measure from the underside of the top shelf down to the back edge of the serving shelf.
Width (W) : Measure between the two inner edges.
