Affordable coldroom PVC strip curtains for walk-in chillers and fridges.
Our easy-fit kits are the most cost-effective way to slash energy bills by keeping cold air in while maintaining full visibility. Perfect for personnel and trolley access, these kits also stop dust and pests in their tracks.
Each kit includes high-quality 430-grade stainless steel hanging rails and fully-prepped PVC strips ready to hang.
Maximum Visibility. Minimum Energy Loss.
Redwood coldroom PVC strip curtains are the industry standard for temperature control in refrigerated environments. By creating a flexible thermal barrier, you can keep your chiller or fridge running efficiently even during busy periods of high foot traffic.
Why Redwood Coldroom Kits?
Fitting & Installation
Our rails come pre-drilled with M6 fixing holes for either face or soffit (underside) fitting.
Note: Rails are not self-supporting and must be mounted to a structurally supporting surface across the entire opening span.
Hanging Tip:
Strips are supplied rolled-up. If you notice a slight curl at the base when first hung, don't worry—this is normal. It will naturally flatten out over time, though you can speed this up by unrolling them overnight before installation or applying gentle heat.
A Note on Longevity:
PVC strip is a consumable product. Its lifespan depends on the traffic type—careful personnel use will last much longer than aggressive trolley traffic. To maximise the life of your Industrial Strip Curtains, we recommend internal fitting in sheltered areas where possible.
Choosing the correct overlap is important to ensure your cold room blind provides effective temperature control while maintaining easy access. Our 200mm x 36% overlap configuration is designed for chilled rooms and refrigerated storage areas with pedestrian traffic, helping to reduce cold air loss and improve energy efficiency without restricting movement.
Watch the video below to see exactly how this 200mm x 36% overlap cold room blind looks once installed. You’ll see the strip spacing, visibility, flexibility and how this overlap performs in a typical chilled environment.
If you’re unsure whether a 36% overlap is the best option for your cold room, this guide will help you understand its performance before ordering. If your doorway experiences heavier traffic or requires greater temperature retention, a higher overlap may be a better choice.
